Top-spec Volvo XC90 Excellence revealed

Volvo has revealed the super-luxury version of its SUV XC90. Called the XC90 Excellence, this variant will rival the likes of the Range Rover SVAutobiography when it goes on sale in select international markets by year-end.

On the outside the XC90 Excellence looks like a regular XC90, save for chrome trim on the B- and C-pillars. Getting in, the XC90 Excellence has a four-seat layout with the rear captain seats with fitted massage and ventilation functions. The rear passengers also get access to the infotainment system through a retractable touch screen. Other features on the Excellence trim include folding tables, a refrigerator, heated and cooled cup holders, crystal glasses, extra sound deadening and Pirelli Noise Cancelling System tyres.

The XC90 Excellence will be powered by Volvo’s 316bhp T6 petrol, 225bhp D5 diesel and top-spec 314bhp T8 plug-in hybrid powertrains. All powertrains will offer four-wheel drive.
