Renault launches Duster-based pick-up in Brazil

Renault has launched the new Duster Oroch pick-up truck in Brazil. The truck is derived from the Duster SUV available in India and it premiered at the Buenos Aires international motor show, Argentina, earlier in June 2015.

The model is offered with two engine and transmission combinations; a 1.6-litre petrol/ethanol engine, mated to a five-speed manual transmission, producing 110bhp or 115bhp with ethanol, and a more powerful 2.0-litre petrol/ethanol unit mated to a six-speed manual transmission, producing 143bhp (148hp with ethanol). The option of an automatic transmission will follow later.

Available only in a double cab configuration, the pick-up sports a 683-litre trunk; the trunk bed measures 1,175 mm wide and 1,350mm long.

The Duster Oroch is available in three trim levels: Expression 1.6, Dynamique 1.6 and Dynamique 2.0. All trims are offered with dual airbags, ABS, power steering, air conditioning, 16-inch alloys, power windows, a four-speaker audio system with CD player, MP3 and radio as standard.

In addition, higher trim levels get fog lamps, Media NAV Evolution infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen interface, cruise control, parking sensors and powered wing mirrors.
